Easter Fun!

Yes, it was a long, long time ago but the smiles and outfits are worth waiting for. The day started at the top of the stairs waiting to see what the Easter Bunny brought! Yes, Kelsey is wearing Christmas pj's-she's resourceful. We could have hunted eggs all day with these boys.
The Easter Bunny and I are going to have a talk about this plastic, green grass business. I'm still finding it.

I could just eat the boys up in these suits! Thanks mom-they even left the hats and bow ties on. Nana and Papa, the sandals went perfect-thankyou!

The girls felt beautiful in their Easter dresses-thanks mom.

My Kendall is growing up.

Charles feels 10 feet tall!

The two in blue.

My girls, a true joy, especially when compared to their brothers.

Finished up the day with an afternoon long water fight and picnic with friends. What a great way to celebrate our Lord!

I suck!

Right now I am blogging only because I am so sick of studying I am willing to come up with any reason not to do it. That is not a good place to be considering I have three tests this week and finals next week. There are many more reasons that I suck: I haven't blogged in over a month, I forgot my mother-in-law's birthday (ok, I'm not taking total responsibility for that one, Chad for got too), I haven't written a thankyou card for anything (please forgive me), my kids are ready to trade me in for a mom who cooks good meals and gets sleep and itsn't grouchy all the time, and my poor husband only gets the leftovers. This semester has been incredible and I have learned so much, but I am more than ready for summer break with my kiddos.

The girls are in soccer and are little pistols on the field. Kels scored 3 goals at her last game! She was on fire!

This girl is quick and look at that perfect form-didn't get it from mama. I'm afraid Kendall did though.

I love the hair. Kendall has become agressive this season-in a non-ugly way.

The boys turned 3 in March. We celebrated a bit early since Chad was away for it. Cowboy hats and shotguns that make noise made for two happy 3 year olds.

Notice the difference here...first Charles

And now Landon... every meal is like this. Charles is a train wreck and landon does not like to get his hands dirty.

Doesn't it look like I have the longest arm ever?!?!

Yay cake!

BB gun safety

Chad got to spend a couple of days with us on Spring break. He had fun teaching the girls how to shoot their BB guns that they got for christmas from nana and papa. The girls loved it and actually hit their little plastic duck targets several times.

Spring break

We had a great time at my folk's house for spring break complete with riding Duke, and Applejack (Chad loves me in that had),
meeting Kelsey's bucket calf (I think daddy liked him most of all),

Kelsey named him Bison,

Ken loved to let him suck on her fingers. Bison is a twin but his mama only wanted his twin sister so we got to bottle feed him.

Just for fun

Kelsey decided yesterday that she needed bangs-so I cut her some. She feels beautiful in them and I think they make her look so much older (don't really like that).
Does anything make a kid happier than eating fresh snow with jello sprinkled on it? The best things in life are free-especially to kiddos.

Our new niece

My brother Chad and wife Natalie welcomed Ashton Ryli on 20 January. Watching my little brother become a daddy is an amazing thing. The love and pride for his new family radiates from him. Ashton is beautiful-just like her mommy!

Summer is in sight

Kendall is beside herself with excitement about this summer. She is going to show 2 heifers (I think they are both girls) at the 4-H fair. Kelsey is also going to show a steer-the one they are petting here. He was shown as a bucket calf last year so he is pretty tame as you can see. Kelsey wasn't near as excited until we went in the pen to pet him and she saw how tame he is. I even laid across his back and he didn't move. Kendall's cattle are not as tame so dad and I will start training them first (don't worry nana, we won't let her get hurt). I think having the girls in 4-H is a priceless opportunity that teaches them responsibility, hard work, and leadership.

Smart little fellas

Until yesterday I had no idea they could do this nor can I take credit for it. We were driving and I started asking letter sounds knowing they at least knew A and B. To my surprise they knew all of them. I'm both impressed and relieved as Chad and I still worry about their development due to their prematurity. They learned these from "The Letter Factory" video.

You have great character Kendall!

We are so proud of Kendall! She received the character counts award. She and Kelsey's school places a large focus on character which Chad and I think is very important! Daddy got to be there which made it even more special.

Outside fun!

Landon loves the snow but he doesn't love cold hands.
Outside playing with Christmas toys.

Landon is a really good driver. Charles already hit Chad's truck and broke off the hitch cover.
